LAURA LAWSON- BLACK
Laura began to establish herself as a character comedienne
on the comedy circuit forming a double act (McCloud and
Black) that went on to perform at three Edinburgh festivals
and numerous comedy venues receiving huge audience and
critical acclaim (‘They oscillate excitingly between butter
wouldn’t melt innocence and cut glass cruelty – hilarious’
The Scotsman).
Laura has also put forward sketches and performed in the BBC
children’s sketch show ‘Stitch-up’ and two years ago she
formed the only sketch comedy show for kids with her partner
Feri Tezcan. Together they have performed two sell out
Edinburgh shows (‘my daughter laughed more than she had at
any other show on the fringe.’ Kelly Apter *****The List
***** The Herald) and regularly with James Campbell, at the
Menier Theatre along side Brendan Burns and Boothby Graffoe.
‘Tezcan and Black are French and Saunders for kids – the
funniest show at this years Fringe. Jeremy Austin THE STAGE’
Laura is currently preparing for their UK tour of this
years’ Edinburgh Festival total sell out show ‘SILLY BILLY
BUM BREATH’ with Phil Macintyre Entertainment, it is also in
development for TV. She is also writing and directing the
only ever adult sketch show with a cast of 13 year olds,
which can be seen, at the Canal Café Theatre this Spring and
at this year’s Edinburgh festival
In between entertaining families around the country, Laura
works four days a week as Head of Prep Drama at the
Harrodian School in Barnes where she has directed numerous
productions and developed the first ever footlights review
show with children performing adult topics and humour. She
has run her own very successful holiday ‘Drama Extravaganza’
courses for four years at Cannons Gym in Fulham but is very
excited to move to a REAL Theatre!
‘School of Comedy’ is her most exciting project to date.

Tara Goldstein
BSc Psychology, Dip Performing Arts
Tara first trained at the prestigious Redroofs
Theatre School, followed up by several
theatre-in-education roles, involving tours of
various schools throughout the UK. She has also
managed weekend and summer workshops at Redroofs
Theatre School for seven to 14 year olds.
Tara now teaches
at Harrodian School and various other schools
providing drama clubs.
Tara holds a lifelong passion for both drama and
working with children.
Through her own
acting experiences and her recently acquired
degree in psychology she has personally
witnessed the tangible benefits drama has for a
child’s development.
