attend the entire week of the festival, seeing all the
productions and hosting an awards ceremony on the final
day to recognise outstanding achievements in all
disciplines.

Sally Dexter -
Sally
trained at LAMDA. Recent theatre includes: Bad Girls: The Musical (Garrick Theate), Billy Elliot (Victoria Palace), Tristan
& Yseult (Australia & NZ Tour), The
Theatre Of Blood (National Theatre), The Old Masters (Birmingham
Rep), The Maths Tutor (Hampstead Theatre), Lion, The Witch And Wardrobe
(Sadlers Wells), Macbeth (Queens Theatre), Closer
(National Theatre). Sally also has a wide range of TV and film credits.

David Thacker -
Olivier Award-winning director David Thacker is currently the
Executive Director of Shakespeare North. Formerly Theatre Director at the Duke's
Playhouse Lancaster, Director of the Young Vic and Director-in-Residence at the
Royal Shakespeare Company, David Thacker is one of the country's leading TV and
Theatre Directors. He is known internationally, particularly for his work on
Shakespeare and with Arthur Miller with whom he developed a close relationship,
directing the British premieres of four of his plays.

Robert Hewison - took part in university theatre and
comedy at Oxford, including a West End run of Hang your Head
Down and Die in 1964. He has always earned his living as a journalist and contemporary cultural historian, publishing more than 15 books and writing on the theatre for The Sunday Times since 1981. He has been the Sunday Times's Festival Judge since 1985 and is an Associate of the think-tank Demos. |
